New Ippity is HERE!

It's time for some cute new Ippity stamps, and a release day blog hop featuring all kinds of fun projects created by Ippity Chicks.  To follow the hop, go to the Ippity blog HERE where you will find the list of all the participating blogs... you won't want to miss a single one!
Today I am sharing 2 cards made with some of the new stamps being released tomorrow morning.

For the first card I used Oh My Darling - a wonderful vintage style set.  I pulled out my Tim Holtz paper stash for this card, finding the perfect match in his Crowded Attic collection.  The images are stamped in black with brown added to all the edges and corners for a distressed look.  I finished it off by adding some bakers twine and a button.  The images are matted on Early Espresso card stock from SU, which is also used for the card base.  I will add some ivory paper inside the card for writing, and may even add some more of these great images there as well.
The second card is made using the adorable and funny new set called Naughty. Nice. Not Sure.  I love all the fun phrases in this set!  I plan to check one of the options before I send this one off... which one will depend on the recipient of course!

I used some more of my Tim Holtz stash on this card, this time from his Seasonal collectionl  I stamped the Santa on white and colored him using markers before cutting him out, and then added stickles for some sparkle.  The list is a second stamp also cut out from white cardstock, then attached using dimensionals.

Don't forget to check out all the other creations on the blog hop... and ALL the new sets available on the Unity web site tomorrow... just click HERE, choose me as your chick, and shop away:)

Here is the list of all the blogs in the hop... have fun!

What's Cookin?

Today I'd like to share another card we did at card club, this one using this adorable chef from the Ippity What's Cooking stamp set. This stamp is perfect for paper piecing with fun patterned paper, an excellent option for those who don't like to color images.  I used gingham paper from Amuse to make mine... and I just love that gingham kerchief around his neck!  I added a zig zag made out of black gingham paper using a border punch, and a button with baker's twine tied in a bow.  The great thing about a card like this is that you can make it using any color combo you'd like, and it totally changes the feel of the card... a bright yellow or orange would be great too!  You can see this entire set HERE on the Unity Stamp site.

Be sure to visit again on August 29th for the Ippity new release blog hop.  See you then!

Ippity Release day Blog Hop!!!!

Can you believe it is the second Thursday of May.... and time for another Ippity release party and Blog Hop!  You will LOVE all the wonderful Ippity goodness in this release!  If you didn't arrive here through the Hop, don't forget to go check out the entire Hop list on the Ippity blog HERE - you can then follow the links to all the Chick's taking part in the Blog Hop, and enjoy all the wonderful projects they've created!

And now.... here is my card with the new set Courage is my Strength:

I absolutely love this set!  With this theme I wanted to use pink, so I pulled out some SU Regal Rose and paired it up with crumb cake - I love this combo of colors. I used nesties label 16 to cut out the sentiment, then cut it in half to create the "tab."  And since I could not find my paper piercer anywhere (as usual!) I finally had an opportunity to use my Sew Easy to create the holes for my "faux stitching" down the left side.  With this technique, simply use a marker (any color you'd like) to create the "stitches" by drawing from hole to hole.... kind of like connect the dots when I was a kid! How fun:)

This set and all the other new releases are availabe NOW on the Unity website at http://www.unitystampco.com/.  You can choose me as your Ippity Chick HERE, and then order all Ippity AND Unity stamps on ONE order - how cool is that!

And don't forget to check out all the other Ippity creations on the rest of the HOP... and we all love your comments too:)

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Stamping!

You can flip or turn the sketch to accomadate your creation - just have fun with it!  Once you have finished your card, go to the challenge site HERE and enter the challenge by uploading a pic of your card or link to your blog post through a "linky" on the sketch challenge post featuring my card below... and you may win the stamp I used on my card, plus another Ippity Bitty stamp of your choice.... how great is that?

Here is the card I created for this sketch challenge.  I love this Bitty called "Happy are those", and when I saw the circles in this challenge thought of the clouds on this stamp.  I used nesties big scallop circles for the clouds, and sponges some of the blue ink along the edges to outline the cloud shape.  Here are all the details:
Stamp - Ippity Happy are Those
Ink - SU Marina Mist
Paper - SU Marina mist, white
Other - Nesties big scallop circles, ovals, wide grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals.

I can't wait to see your creations using this sketch - so don't forget to play along and upload your creation by Wednesday, May 16 at 11:59 Eastern time.

New Ippity Release HOP!

Howdy Stampers - it's the second Thursday of the month (already!!) and you know what that means, right?  It's time for another {Ippity} release and our release day blog hop filled with inspiration from {Ippity} Chicks! You should have arrived from Crystal's Blog - didn't ya just love her creation?  If you didn't arrive from there, make sure to go back to the {Ippity} Blog and start the hop from the beginning... trust me, you don't want to miss anything this month:)

Today I am sharing a card I made with the new kit called Let Your Heart Take Flight.

I created the sun by creating punching a circle in a scrap piece of cardstock.  I then sponged yellow and orange ink through the cut out onto the white cardstock.  And although you can't really tell in the picture, I used dimensionals to attach the cut out heart and banner for a 3D affect.  Banners are my new fav for adding sentiments to cards, and so easy to make.  This is a great set for a quick and easy card like this one!

You can purchase this set on the Unity Site along with all the other sets in the release AND all the wonderful Unity sets as well!  I'd love to be your chick - just click on my pic on the Unity site, and then order away:)  There is a special new release bundle available as well... for a great price!

{IPPITY} LOVE Blog Hop

It is February release day for {Ippity} and to celebrate we are having a LOVE themed blog hop!  What does that mean?  It means I am challenging you to make a card inspired by the letters L-O-V-E.  YOU decide what they stand for, and make your card.  Here's my card using the new Ippity Itty Bitty set called Friendship Rainbow:

L is for Labels - I used Labels 8 (nestabilities) to create a "window" in my card front.
O is for Oval - I used Nestie ovals to cut out the image and mat it.
V is for Violet and Velvet - The color of the card and the top arc of the rainbow and the hearts are cut fom red velvet.
E is for Embossing - The image is stamped with black versafine ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder, and the card front is embossed with a mini heart background embossing folder.

How will LOVE inspire your creativity today?  Create your LOVE card and share it with us on Splitcoaststampers and the IPPITY Blog HERE and you will have a chance to win 2 Itty Bitty sets! Time for a Valentine

Can you believe it is almost Valentine's day already!  So today I thought I'd share a little {Ippity} valentine inspiration.

This first card was made using 2 different ippity sets - the owl from Wise Guy and the tree limb from Fall For You.  I made the "sun" by simply using a circle and scallop circle punch.  Wise Guy comes with an "owl always be your friend" sentiment as well which I love - I'll be making some valentines for friends using that one.

This second card is done using Be Better Together.  The image and sentiment are 2 different sets, so you can use them separately for many different occasions.  I think this set would work great for anniversaries and weddings too!  I stamped these images using black versafine ink, and then used clear embossing powder to emboss.  This makes it so easy to color in the images with little worry about straying outside the lines.  The paper is pure poppy from SU, and the Be Loved line from My Minds Eye.

One of these cards will be going to my husband... those of you who know him will easily guess which one!

Remember, you can order these and all Ippity sets on the Unity site at http://www.unitystampco.com/ - just pick me as your Ippity Chick, and combine Ippity and Unity on the same order!  And don't forget that Thursday is February Release day - stop by for the blog hop and join us for the release party at 7PM Central time. I'll be posting links here Thursday morning along with my Blog Hop card, so remember to stop by:)   Joan Signature

Ippity Chick Sketch Challenge

Have you checked out the Ippity Chick Challenges yet? Each week there is a new sketch challenge with a prize offered by an Ippity Chick... and this week I am the sponsor... so check it out HERE! Play along with me and post your creation for a chance to win an Ippity set of your choice!

I created my card for the challenge using one of my favorite sets - Music of the Heart. I stamped the music using brown ink directly onto the background paper from the Minuet collection by Memory Box. For the ribbon, I decided it was finally time to use some of the HUGE spool of seam binding I have, and try my hand at dying it to match. I used the Ballet Blue classic re-inker, adding a few drops to some water. I let the binding soak for a few minutes, then rinsed it out. I think it turned out very pretty! And I love how easy it is to tie nice bows with the soft texture of the seam binding. I finished the card off with some cute little star buttons from my stash, attached with glue dots.

I have this and all other Ippity sets in stock and ready to ship - check out my sales blog HERE

And now it is your turn to create a card based on the sketch - and don't forget to upload it to the challenge site HERE so you will have a chance to win an Ippity set! I can't wait to see your creations:)
