{IPPITY} LOVE Blog Hop

It is February release day for {Ippity} and to celebrate we are having a LOVE themed blog hop!  What does that mean?  It means I am challenging you to make a card inspired by the letters L-O-V-E.  YOU decide what they stand for, and make your card.  Here's my card using the new Ippity Itty Bitty set called Friendship Rainbow:

L is for Labels - I used Labels 8 (nestabilities) to create a "window" in my card front.
O is for Oval - I used Nestie ovals to cut out the image and mat it.
V is for Violet and Velvet - The color of the card and the top arc of the rainbow and the hearts are cut fom red velvet.
E is for Embossing - The image is stamped with black versafine ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder, and the card front is embossed with a mini heart background embossing folder.

How will LOVE inspire your creativity today?  Create your LOVE card and share it with us on Splitcoaststampers and the IPPITY Blog HERE and you will have a chance to win 2 Itty Bitty sets! And don't forget to check out the rest of the blog hop for more Ippity inspiration - all the links are on the blog. If you arrived here from the Blog, then you next stop on the hop is Cheri: http://thepaperfreak.blogspot.com/

Time for a Valentine

Can you believe it is almost Valentine's day already!  So today I thought I'd share a little {Ippity} valentine inspiration.

This first card was made using 2 different ippity sets - the owl from Wise Guy and the tree limb from Fall For You.  I made the "sun" by simply using a circle and scallop circle punch.  Wise Guy comes with an "owl always be your friend" sentiment as well which I love - I'll be making some valentines for friends using that one.

This second card is done using Be Better Together.  The image and sentiment are 2 different sets, so you can use them separately for many different occasions.  I think this set would work great for anniversaries and weddings too!  I stamped these images using black versafine ink, and then used clear embossing powder to emboss.  This makes it so easy to color in the images with little worry about straying outside the lines.  The paper is pure poppy from SU, and the Be Loved line from My Minds Eye.

One of these cards will be going to my husband... those of you who know him will easily guess which one!

Remember, you can order these and all Ippity sets on the Unity site at http://www.unitystampco.com/ - just pick me as your Ippity Chick, and combine Ippity and Unity on the same order!  And don't forget that Thursday is February Release day - stop by for the blog hop and join us for the release party at 7PM Central time. I'll be posting links here Thursday morning along with my Blog Hop card, so remember to stop by:)   Joan Signature

Ippity Chick Sketch Challenge

Have you checked out the Ippity Chick Challenges yet? Each week there is a new sketch challenge with a prize offered by an Ippity Chick... and this week I am the sponsor... so check it out HERE! Play along with me and post your creation for a chance to win an Ippity set of your choice!

I created my card for the challenge using one of my favorite sets - Music of the Heart. I stamped the music using brown ink directly onto the background paper from the Minuet collection by Memory Box. For the ribbon, I decided it was finally time to use some of the HUGE spool of seam binding I have, and try my hand at dying it to match. I used the Ballet Blue classic re-inker, adding a few drops to some water. I let the binding soak for a few minutes, then rinsed it out. I think it turned out very pretty! And I love how easy it is to tie nice bows with the soft texture of the seam binding. I finished the card off with some cute little star buttons from my stash, attached with glue dots.

I have this and all other Ippity sets in stock and ready to ship - check out my sales blog HERE

And now it is your turn to create a card based on the sketch - and don't forget to upload it to the challenge site HERE so you will have a chance to win an Ippity set! I can't wait to see your creations:)

Shine Shine Shine from Ippity

Today I'd like to share another card I designed for my card club last weekend.  This is a card I've been thinking about for awhile, and finally found the paper I liked with it.  I love the motivational theme of this set - {...Shine Shine Shine from the Ippity July release.  It has a wonderful vintage feel, don't you think?

This is a very quick and easy card, yet has an elegant feel.  Just stamp three of the lamp images in black ink, mat on black card stock and add the patterned paper of your choice.  I finished it off with some crocheted ribbon.  I added the sentiment on the front, but it could also just have a sentiment inside that fits the occasion.

I have this set available for sale with FREE shipping on my sales blog... just click HERE

Thanks for stopping by today... and as always... happy stamping!
