Still a work in progress.... but getting there!

It seems like I have spent weeks and weeks putting together storage cubes and organizing - well, actually, it HAS been weeks and weeks!  But, finally, I am to the point where I thought I would share a few pics of my new craft room.  I don't have things labeled, and still have some putting away and organizing to do... but I figure it will always be a work in progress.  At least now it is a WORKABLE room in process!  This first picture shows all the storage cubes and bookshelves along the back wall.  The table in the middle has 2 leaves, so I'll be able to seat 8-10 people for classes in one place.  There is still room for my portable table too, so everyone will have lots of room to create:)

Next is one of my favorite parts of the room - my work table with a permanent home for my paper cutter right by the paper!  And a place to color with great lighting too - this is my happy place:)  The stack of boxes to the right hold storage cubes that once assembled will be another workspace providing a permanent home for my Cricut (So I might actually use it!)

This last picture is one of my dreams come true for my craft room - a permanent home for my big shot AND big shot pro with all my dies and embossing folders right there!

It's been a lot of work, but most definitely worth it as I am now enjoying creating in my new space.  I am looking forward to crafty visitors to join me too!

As I get some more organizing done I'll post some more detailed pics and info of how I am storing stamps, paper and supplies.  So come back and visit again soon!

Hello again - waving "hi" from my new crafting space!

Hello everyone!  It has been such a long time since I posted, and much has happened in the past 8 months including a remodel of the condo thanks to a water leak, a big birthday milestone for me (shhhh... I'm not telling which one;)) and a move to a new house with a big rec room in the daylight basement which is now my craft room.  After a few months of putting together storage cubes, unpacking and arranging, I was finally able to craft this weekend for the first time in months!  My crafting buddy Vicki was here for a visit and helped me get my mojo back on line in the new room.  So here I am once again ready to share some of my crafting creations with you!

There are a couple of special birthdays coming up that I wanted to created some special cards for.  Both are tri-shutter cards created by using the Sizzix Pro Tri-shutter card die.  The first is for my wonderful Mother \-in-law whose birthday is tomorrow.

I created this card using paper from the Secret Garden line by Graphic 45.  I added a few flowers from their Once Upon a Springtime paper line as well.  The stamped sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations.  My MIL loves flowers and gardening, so I thought this card would be perfect for her.

This second card is for another special lady - my mom, who will be turning 90 this summer!  I again used a mix of Graphic 45 paper - this time from A Lady's Diary and Once Upon a Springtime.  Although you can't really tell in this picture, the oval lady is covered with crystal effects and is popped up from the background to give it a cameo look.

If you would like to try some tri-shutter cards, but don't have the sizzix die, there are directions on SCS to create one from scratch HERE.  They are loads of fun, so try one out and share it with us!

I'll be sharing more later, so be sure to come back soon!  Happy Stamping!
